2016 Summer Concert Series — June 25 through August 18, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Area entertainers give concerts that are free to the public, performed in the bandstand on the Depot grounds except Aug 11*. Lots of room on the Depot's green and in the parking lot. Bring your own lawn chairs. Light refreshments are available. 50/50 raffles. Call the Depot (989-718-3021) for more information.

5th Annual Model A and T Car Show — July 9, 2016, 10 am - 4 PM (rain or shine)

All original/restored 1931 and older cars, trucks and speedsters. Please note that speedsters must have their original engine and chassis.

Author Signing by Laurice Hartman Lazebnik, author of "Minnie's Potatoes" — July 10, 2016, 4 PM for public/friends, 2 PM for Lazebnik family/relatives

"Minnie's Potatoes" is Lazebnik's story of the Hartman family struggles from Michigan's lumber era to farming and finally to bootlegging during Prohibition. Drawn from genealogical research, it's a tale full of surprising twists and turns of personalities, tough decisions and romantic encounters.

 

"Minnie's Potatoes" was released February 2016. Lazebnik is also author of "The Atomic Sailor" (2014) and "Strongheart, A Dog Who Was A Coward".

 

Depot Days 5K Run/Walk — October 1, 2016

The races take place on blacktop (accurately measured) in downtown Standish. All proceeds will benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Details will be posted as soon as they arrive. For more information, call 989-714-2496 or visit www.depotdaysrace.com .

 

11th Annual Depot Days — October 1-2, 2016

Depot Days is an annual event held in the fall, featuring vendors, carnival rides, antique tractors, historical scrapbooks and pictures, cooking contests and more. Details will be posted as soon as they arrive.
