10th Annual Depot Days Highlights

October 3-4, 2015

We're very pleased the 2015 Depot Days were a great success despite the rain and cold! Lucky for the runners, the 5K run /walk managed to avoid the rainy times, and Mike Stein and his great horses provided horse-drawn carriage rides in spite of the rain.

The Arenac County Historical Society's scrapbooks were again available for browsing. Schmidt's Amusement set up a nice variety of children's rides as well as a ferris wheel. The rides and the food and gift vendors kept busy even with the less-than-lovely weather. And on Sunday, the band played on!

Inside the Depot, our Silent Auction was a big hit due to the many useful and valuable gifts donated by area businesses and individuals. And, as in the past, the pie, chili, chicken soup and brownie contests brought a lot of fun, laughter and "good eats".
